ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Democrat party's candidate for Mark Souder's vacant seat in Congress is attacking his Republican opponent over farm subsidies.

Doctor Tom Hayhurst summoned reporters on Friday claiming Marlin Stutzman recently said it's time to get rid of federal farm subsidies, while having accepted nearly one-million dollars worth since 1997.

Hayhurst cites Stutzman's position is wrong and hypocritical.

Hayhurst says, “It appears in Mr. Stutzman's 4th run for office in less than three years, he is becoming a typical politician, saying one thing and doing another, while forgetting about working men and women."

A message sent to Stutzman, seeking a response to the Hayhurst criticism, has not yet been returned.
