INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Indiana got a big population boost according to the latest Census Bureau count.
Officials say the 6.6 percent growth was fueled by a substantial increase in the Hispanic population, accounting for 43 percent of the Hoosier rise.
Just over six-million people now live in Indiana and Fort Wayne saw the largest growth among the state's five biggest cities, jumping 23 percent to more than 250,000 residents.
