New Felonies Filed Against Alleged 18-Year-Old Butler Rapist

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A Butler teenager faces new charges after an Indiana conservation officer caught him trying to rape an 11-year-old girl last month.

18-year-old Jacob Delong is now charged with a felony count of child molesting and sexual battery.

Delong is also charged with attempted rape.

After police say a DNR officer found Delong inside a parked vehicle on January 24th trying to rape the young girl.

Delong is scheduled for a court appearance March 28th.

Police believe that there may be others victims because Delong has a lengthy juvenile record, which is related to sex crimes.
Investigators are asking that victims, or anyone with any information, contact the DeKalb Sheriff’s Department at 260-925-3365.
