NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Kendallville Public Library might see a major change in the next month.
As part of a long-term plan to increase efficiency and funding for libraries in Noble County, there's a plan to create a county-wide library system.
Under the plan all six libraries will remain open and no jobs will be cut.
Kendallville Public Library Director Jenny Draper says, “Make things more efficient. It would actually be better use of our tax dollars. We wouldn't be duplicating some of the services. We could increase and enhance existing services because we're doing it together and as a larger system.”
The plan will require everyone living in the county to pay the same amount in taxes, allowing the new county-wide system to operate as one.
