MARION, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The memory of Lisa Pattison was honored Friday at the place she spent much of her time in a labor of love.

It's a special ceremony at the Five-Points Mall in Marion where Pattison was the long-time marketing manager.

Her 19-year-old son Dillon McCoy was given a medallion from the local Rotary Club, because of his mom's service with that organization.

Since the homicide, Dillon has been living with his aunt in Virginia.

Lisa Pattison's Son Dillon McCoy says, “This means a lot for me and my family, this is just a great way to show what type of person my mother was. It's been a tough year, but through a lot of help with like family and friends, I've been able to get through it somewhat."

A granite bench, designed by Pattison's mother, will be displayed in the mall, as a tribute to her involvement there.
