LEO, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) The Diva Company, a group of young female dancers from Dance NY Style in Leo, will perform during halftime of the Orange Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The Diva Company found out they’d be performing in Miami back in July. Their choreography, to be performed with about 1,000 other dance troops from around the country, came a couple of weeks ago and the girls are preparing to groove in South Beach.

In front of 75,000 fans and millions of television viewers, The Diva Company, their counterparts and the Goo Goo Dolls will headline the halftime festivities in the game between Stanford and Virginia Tech.

They will also partake in some dance classes to be taught by some of the choreographers and judges from the hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance?”

The Leo/Grabill communities came together to help the girls and their families make it to Miami. They raised over $3,000 to help fund the trip.

The girls are pumped for their trip. They say they feel extremely fortunate and are treating this trip as a once in a lifetime opportunity to do what they love on a grand stage.

You can watch the girls represent the Hoosier State during the Orange Bowl on January 1, 2011.
