ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Wayne Township Trustee Office is one of nine local entities that have tapped into the state's bond bank.
It was announced on Thursday that the Wayne Township Trustee's office received $942,000 to help make ends meet while waiting for their semi-annual distribution of property tax money.
The interest rate to borrow the cash is at 1.31 percent.
The city Marion has borrowed more than $6.6 million.
And the DeKalb County Eastern Community School System is in the hole for $2.8 million.
