INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- Indiana's Attorney General is joining others who believe Illegal Immigration Legislation should be left to those in Washington and not on a state level.
Greg Zoeller signed the Indiana proposal just hours before the Indiana Senate Committee was to debate legislation to prevent illegal immigration.
The bill is similar to a controversial law in Arizona that requires law enforcement who stop anyone for violating a law to ask for proof that the person is here legally if there is reasonable suspicion to believe they are not.
