Champion Freestyle Skier Dies Following Injuries Suffered in Training Crash

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Canadian freestyle skier Sarah Burke died Thursday at a Utah hospital after suffering serious head injuries during a training fall at a ski resort on Jan. 10. She was 29.

Burke, a four-time Winter X Games champion, had been in a coma since the accident, according to the report.
