According to the Appleton (Wis.) Post-Crescent, a Wisconsin city has hired seismologists to determine the cause of mysterious loud booms that have occurred over the past several days.
The firm will place seismometers around the city of Clintonville in an effort to locate where the sounds are coming from, according to the Post-Crescent. The noises have been described as sounding like thunder, according to the report.
