According to the New York Daily News, an elderly New York couple that was unable to get a cell phone signal died just feet from their vacation home in the Catskills following a minor traffic accident.
The couple -- an 88-year-old man and an 89-year-old woman -- tried to rescue themselves after nine calls for help would not go through, according to the Daily News report.
