Beldfont, Pa. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The jury in the Jerry Sandusky trial will decide his fate, without hearing from the former-Penn State assistant coach himself.
The defense rested Wednesday with closing arguments set to be heard Thursday.
Although the defense presented plenty of character witnesses, it might not be enough to tip the scales in Sandusky's favor.
Along with character witnesses, the last day of testimony also featured more attempts by Sandusky's lawyers to discredit Mike McQuery.
He's the grad student who claims he saw Sandusky sexually abusing a young boy in the Penn State locker room showers.
After that, the defense moved to rest its case without putting Wandusky on the witness stand.
The strategy was scrutinized by one of the accuser's lawyers, saying the only person that could truly come out and say that the allegations did not happen would be the defendant himself.
The jury will now hear closing arguments then go into the jury room and deliberate.
