Convicted Murderer Claims He's Too Obese to be Executed

Too obese to be executed?

According to a report from the Cleveland (Ohio) Plain Dealer, that's what the lawyers for a convicted murderer are contending.

A 53-year-old man who weights 480 pounds is scheduled to be executed in January, according to the Plain Dealer report. The lawyers are arguing that the man's weight and poor vein would make an execution by lethal injection a cruel and unusual punishment, according to the Plain Dealer report.
