Woman Sentenced to 80 Years in Prison For Day Care Fire Death

A lengthy prison sentenced handed down Tuesday to a Texas woman.

According to a report from the Houston Chronicle, a Texas jury on Tuesday sentenced a 24-year-old Texas woman to 80 years in prison in connection with the death of a young child in a fire at her day care center.

The woman was convicted of felony murder last week, according to the Houston Chronicle report. The woman left a pot of oil on a burner, which started the fire, according to the Houston Chronicle report.
