INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) and IN.gov made the announcement that citizens can now obtain a single driver's record, title information, or registration record online.
By law BMV records are available to the public, except certain information protected by privacy statutes. The records available for purchase contain no more personal information than that already provided by the requestor. Recipients are required to know and comply with all legal requirements pertaining to their use of these records.
"The BMV Single Record Purchase is now available in response to a growing demand from customers who need immediate access to a driver, title or registration records," said R. Scott Waddell, BMV Commissioner. "This new online service offers the quickest, most convenient - yet secure - method for individuals who have an occasional need for a BMV record."
