FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - One person died early Saturday morning after flipping his or her car onto a drainage system.

Police were called to a single-car crash at 3:49 a.m at the intersection of Progress Road and Profit Drive. There they found an overturned 2001 Lincoln with the driver partially ejected.

Police say the driver was heading eastbound on Progress when he veered off the roadway, over-corrected, lost control, drove into a ditch and rolled the car onto its hood onto a drainage tile.

The name and sex of the adult driver have yet to be released. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

Police say alcohol and speed were both factors in the crash.
