Fire Destroys New Haven Home

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - An overnight fire destroyed a home in New Haven.

New Haven Adams Township Fire & EMS and the Woodburn Fire Department were called to the 12000 block of U.S. 24 near Interstate 469 around 1 a.m.

Fire crews found flames coming from the rear of the home.

A man inside the home awoke to a smoke detector, and escaped safely.

No one else was inside, and no injuries were reported.

Fire officials say the home is a total loss.
