According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, measles cases in the United States were at a 15-year high in 2011.
During a telebriefing this week, the director of the CDC's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases said 222 cases of measles were reported in 2011 in the U.S. Most were the result of international visitors to the U.S, it was reported.
