Does the punishment fit the crime from 40 years ago?
According to Milwaukee television station WTMJ, a Wisconsin woman recently lost her customer service job at a Wells Fargo location after a background check revealed a shoplifting conviction -- from 1972.
The woman, who worked at Wells Fargo for more than five years, is no longer eligible to work for the company, according to the WTMJ report.
