Thirty Days in Jail for Ex-Rutgers Student in Webcam Spying Case

According to MSNBC, the 20-year-old former Rutgers University student who was found guilty of bias intimidation and invasion of privacy in connection with a case in which he was accused of spying on his gay roommate with a webcam, was sentenced Monday to a 30-day probationary jail term by a New Jersey judge.

Dharun Ravi was facing up to 10  years in prison, according to the MSNBC report. Ravi's roommate -- 18-year-old Tyler Clementi -- committed suicide after finding out Ravi had watching him kissing another man, according to the report.
