Woman Sues Little Leaguer After Being Injured By Overthrown Ball

According to the Asbury Park (N.J.) Press, a 45-year-old New Jersey woman is suing a 13-year-old boy after she was hit by a ball thrown by the boy before a Little League game when he was 11.

The boy was serving as a catcher in the bullpen before the game, and says he overthrew the pitcher, striking the woman in the face, according to the Asbury Park Press report. The woman, who had to undergo surgery as a result of being struck, is seeking $500,000 in damages, according to the report.
