According to The Arizona Republic, the suspect in the 2011 mass shooting in Arizona that left six dead and several more wounded -- including then-U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords -- pleaded guilty on Tuesday in federal court to 19 charges in connection with the incident.
Jared Loughner will not face the death penalty, according to The Arizona Republic report. Loughner was found competent to stand trial by a judge on Tuesday, leading to the plea agreement. Loughner faces multiple life sentences, according to The Arizona Republic report.
