Elderly Woman Rescued After Falling Into Open Manhole

A scary fall for a 74-year-old Illinois woman earlier this week.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the woman fell into an uncovered manhole while walking behind a shopping center on Monday. The woman used her cellphone to call for help after falling into the seven-foot hole, and was treated and released from a hospital after being rescued, according to the Chicago Tribune report.
