It was really his lucky day.

According to a report posted on the Massachusetts State Lottery website, a Massachusetts man who was given a different lottery ticket than the one he asked for by a convenience store clerk had the mistake pay off in a big way this month -- in the form of a $1 million top prize.

The wrong ticket turned out to be the winner, and the man elected to receive a lump-sum cash payout of $650,000, according to the report on the Massachusetts State Lottery website.
