Man Convicted of Sawing Off Hand of Mentally Disabled Man in Insurance Scheme

According to The Columbia (S.C.) State, a 34-year-old South Carolina man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a felony charge of conspiracty to commit federal mail fraud as part of an insurance scheme that involved cutting off the hand of a mentally disabled man with a chainsaw in 2008 in order to claim insurance money.
