Theft of Two Candy Bars Leads to 180 Days in Jail for Homeless Man

Petty theft resulted in a substantial punishment for a homeless man in Florida.

According to the Ocala (Fla.) Star-Banner, a 21-year-old homeless man was sentenced Wednesday to 180 days in jail by a Florida judge after pleading guilty to charges that he stole two candy bars.

The man was on probation on theft charges at the time of the most recent incident, according to the Star-Banner report.
