According to a news release from the Pinellas County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office, a 33-year-old Florida man was arrested last week for allegedly impersonating a police officer and flashing a gun in order to get free food at a McDonald's restaurant.
According to the news release from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office:
The suspect allegedly placed his order at the drive thru speaker. When the McDonald's employee told him through the PA how much his order would cost, the suspect said he was a law enforcement officer, did not have his wallet with him and wanted his food free of charge.
Deputies say, when the suspect pulled around to the window, he told the McDonald's manager the same story. The suspect allgedly repeated he was a police officer and added he had just come from a sting and did not have his wallet. The suspect then allegedly flashed his badge and showed a gun.
Deputies arrested the suspect for felony impersonating a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of improper exhibition of a firearm.
