A brand of children's upholstered chairs is being recalled because of potential laceration and choking hazards.
No injuries have been reported so far, but Trend Lab, LLC is voluntarily recalling the product because staples in the binding on the back of the chair may come loose, posing a hazard if swallowed.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says nearly 17,000 chairs were sold on trend-lab.com, Amazon.com, BabiesRUs.com, Target.com, Walmart.com and Seussland.com, as well as in Buy Buy Baby and other specialty stores from November 2007 to August 2012 for about $100 to $140.
Consumers should immediately take the chair away from children and inspect the binding. Contact the firm for a repair kit with instructions.
The company can be reached toll-free at (866) 814-7978, by email Recall@trend-lab.com, or website www.trend-lab.com and link to Recall Information.
More recall information can also be found at http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml13/13010.html.
