A retired hospice chaplain from Illinois hit the jackpot while cleaning his desk a couple weeks ago -- literally.
According to a news release from the Illinois lottery, the man came across a winning $1 million lottery ticket purchased in August while cleaning his desk a couple weeks back.
“About 12 tickets had accumulated on my desk, and I decided to tidy up to make room for my new computer. I checked the winning numbers on the Illinois Lottery website and just about screamed when I saw that I won,” the man said.
