An alligator nearly caused an aviation delay at a Florida airport late last month.
According to a news release from the Charlotte County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office, authorities had to remove a 7-foot alligator that was close to the main runway at Punta Gorda Airport on Dec. 31, as a commercial jet was due to arrive.
