A shocking story from North Carolina.
According to a report from the Burlington (N.C.) Times-News, police said a 22-year-old man was arrested last week for allegedly stabbing a 45-year-old deaf man after mistaking his sign language for gang signs.
The suspect was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and felonious assault on a handicapped person, according to the Burlington Times-News report.
