HUNTINGTON, Indiana (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A tragedy over the weekend at the Salamonie Reservoir in Huntington County took the life of a 2-year-old girl.
A spokesperson with the Department of Natural Resources said the child, Aleea Brubaker, had been swimming with her family when family members noticed she was no longer in sight. They located the child underwater and began giving her CPR, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Huntington County coroner ruled the death an accident by drowning Monday afternoon.
