Soft drink sales continued to fizzle last year, according to a report.
According to trade journal "Beverage Digest", soft drink sales in 2012 dropped to their lowest level since 1996.
The journal also found the pace of decline for carbonated beverages has increased, and without energy drinks like Monster and Red Bull, it would have been worse.
Despite the decline in sales, revenue was up nearly two percent due to a three percent soda price hike.
