76-Year-Old Woman Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Killing Infant in 1957

A lengthy prison sentence issued to a 76-year-old Wisconsin woman convicted of killing her infant daughter in 1957.

According to a report from the Sheboygan Press, the woman was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison after she pleaded guilty in February to second-degree murder. Prosecutors and defense attorneys had requested a sentence of 45 days in jail and 10 years probation as part of a plea agreement, according to the Sheboygan Press report. The woman will be eligible to be released in 2-1/2 years, according to the Sheboygan Press report.
