FLORIDA (www.incnow.tv) -- 12 former band members at Florida A&M University will now face manslaughter charges for the 2011 death of drum major, Robert Champion.
Last spring 10 of the former band members were charged with hazing, a third-degree felony. The hazing ritual happened after a performance on a bus.
Monday the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office informed the defendants' attorneys that they will also face second-degree manslaughter charges. Two additional former band members are being charged.
The manslaughter charge carries a maximum sentence of 15-years in prison which is 10 more than they were facing for the hazing charges.
