Indianapolis (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Former President Bill Clinton made a stop in Indianapolis Friday morning to rally Democrats and boost the campaigns of Hoosier candidates running for Senate and Governor.
Clinton drew frequent applause from the crowd that filled the North Central High School gym as he promoted senate candidate Joe Donnelly and gubernatorial nominee John Gregg.
Clinton took several swipes at Republican senate candidate Richard Mourdock, describing him as an ideologue rather than a common sense leader.
President Clinton said, “I tell everybody all the time. I was raised to believe that nobody's right all the time. Now, maybe Mr. Mourdock is. I don't know. He's way right all the time. I know that."
Former U.S. Senator Evan Bayh was also at the rally.
