LOS ANGELES, Ca. (www.incnow.tv) – The long time owner of the Los Angeles Lakers and the man who brought “Showtime” to the forum has died.
Jerry Buss died Monday. He owned the Lakers since 1979 bringing the city ten NBA Championships. The phrase “Showtime” became a mark of the teams’ high flying style on the court.
In recent years, Buss had turned over much of the day to day operation of the Lakers to his son Jim. Jerry Buss was 80 years old.
