WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.incnow.tv) --- Hoosier lawmakers voted differently on the fiscall cliff bills.
Only two Hoosier Congressmen voted in favor of the bill passed by the Senate. Representative Marlin Stutzman says he wasn’t pleased with the bipartisan bill because it had more taxes then it had spending cuts.
Stutzman says he felt that there was no way to raise taxes enough to achieve a balanced budget, without making reforms to big programs such as Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security. So Stutzman voted "no."
U.S. Senator Dan Coats stated that “the deal wasn’t the best….but passing a plan was the lesser of two evils.”
Democrats Andre Carson and Joe Donnelly were the only two Indiana Congressman to vote in favor of the bill that would pass the house and end the fiscall cliff crisis, for now.
