SYRIA (www.incnow.tv) - NBC's Chief Foreign Correspondent, Richard Engel is safe after being kidnapped in Syria.
Overnight NBC released the following statement on Engel's condition. The statement reads, "after being kidnapped and held for five days inside Syria by an unknown group, NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel and his production crew members, have been freed unharmed. We are pleased to report they are safely out of the country."
Engel is a veteran correspondent for NBC reporting from the world's top hot spots. Among the major stories he has recently covered the Arab spring uprising in Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt.
