Springfield, MO (www.incnow.tv) - KSPR in Springfield, Missouri obtained some exclusive police dash-cam video of a high speed chase involving a semi driver that is accused of stealing $700 worth of fuel.

On September 30th Springfield police spotted a semi driver driving erratically on highway 65.

When officers tried to pull him over he took off and led them on a chase.

The vehicle chase came to an end when the semi driver flipped his truck near Busiek State Forest. That’s when police say he escaped from his wrecked rig and ran into the woods.

Authorities had given up the search, but they were able to locate the man after he used his cell phone in the park.

Jesse Dejongh was arrested and faces felony charges in the case.

He's pleaded not guilty.

His next hearing is scheduled at the end of the month.
