Undated (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A deal could keep student loan interest rates from going up.
Senate Republican Mitch McConnell says final approval of student loan legislation, which would prevent rates on federal Stafford loans from doubling to 6.8 percent, depends on House Republicans.
The deal worked out in the Senate would be to attach it to a two year transportation authorization bill.
