According to a report from Granite Broadcasting sister station WKBW in Buffalo, N.Y., two teenage suspects are in police custody for allegedly setting a 16-week old puppy on fire.
According to a WKBW report:
The suspects, who police have not yet formally charged, were picked up by police Tuesday afternoon after detectives received a tip call over the weekend.
The pair could be arraigned as early as Wednesday, and are expected to face felony animal cruelty charges.
The Jack Russel Terrier puppy, who has been given the name "Phoenix", continues to recover at the small animal hospital
