DUNCANVILLE, Tex. (www.incnow.tv) -- A video showing 18-year-old Jeff Bliss speaking up against his teacher who he believed wasn't actively engaging the students has gone viral.

The video, taken by another student, shows Bliss on his way out of the class room saying ""if you would just get up and teach 'em instead of handing them a freakin' packet yo. There's kids in here that don't learn like that. They need to learn face to face".

WFAA in Dallas/Fort Worth reported that the teacher involved in the video was placed on administrative leave, but some are questioning whether that sends the right message.

A retired Duncanville teacher said he's having a difficult time understanding how Bliss was allowed to return to class after he showed the teacher "disrespect".

Bliss told WFAA that he recognizes that he showed aggression but that he believes it was a positive aggression.

The video has received thousands of comments across the internet, many saying that what they see if a young man showing a desire to learn and pointing out that the system is flawed. The school system issued a statement saying "we want our students and teachers to be engaged, but the method by which the student expressed his concern could have been handled in a more appropriate way."
