HHS Secretary Sebelius Resigns

WASHINGTON (21Alive) - U.S. Secretary of Health & Human Services Kathleen Sebelius is leaving her post.

President Barack Obama announced Sebelius' resignation on Friday.

The move comes a week after a close of the enrollment period for the Affordable Health Care law that saw the eventual enrollment of 7 million Americans.

The president has nominated Sylvia Mathews Burwell, Office of Management & Budget director, as next Secretary of Health of Human Services.
