FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The Fort Wayne media “spare” their time to help raise money for a local non-profit organization through bowling.
Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana hosted its annual "Bowl for Kids' Sake" fundraiser Sunday afternoon at Thunder Bowl.
21 Alive's Melissa Long, Curtis Smith, and Tommy Schoegler were all in attendance, as well as teams from WANE-tv and WFFT FOX.
This event has been going on for more than 35 years. Director of Development Shelley Schwab says it brings the community together and helps support and serve more "big-little" matches in the organization.
"If you are able, if you are willing, and if you have some extra time on your hands and you want to make a difference in the life of a child, please contact us, we have more than 700 children waiting for a big brother or big sister right now, and 500 in the drawer waiting to get on that waiting list,” said Schwab.
