Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The Better Business Bureau is warning those who want to donate money, clothes or food to Sandy victims to be careful of scammers.
Mike Coil with the local chapter of the BBB says that if you are going to donate, go with an organization that has boots on the ground in the northeast.
Coil says, “That proves that they have the transportation system, the have the distribution system and they have the people to get there and physically be helping these people.”
Coil also says to avoid charity solicitors and says you should also research an organization before donating items to them.
