CEDAR LAKE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – After the school shooting in Newtown, CT, a similar threat is made in northwestern Indiana.
A Cedar Lake man is in police custody after threatening to kill people at an elementary school near his home.
Police were called to the home of Von Meyer after he threatened to set his wife on fire, and then enter Jane Ball Elementary School and kill as many people as possible.
Authorities found 47 guns and ammunition worth over $100,000 in his home.
Meyer is charged with four counts of felony intimidation, one count of misdemeanor domestic battery, and two counts of misdemeanor resisting law enforcement. He is being held without bail at the Lake County, Ind. jail.
