College Student Recovers From Near-Death Train Accident, Shares Inspiring Story (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- It's called Operation Lifesaver; a non-profit organization aimed at raising awareness about being safe around railroad tracks.

And to spread this message of safety, it was 'all aboard' the Norfolk Southern train.

That's where we found 24-year-old Mark Kalina, a former Ohio State student that nearly lost his life, along the tracks, in 2012.
