Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The flu shot is in high demand and many local pharmacies are running out. But a local non-profit is still giving them out for free.

Super Shot holds clinics all week in the Fort Wayne area, offering free flu shots for kids up to the age of 18.

In order to be eligible the children must be uninsured, on Medicaid or considered underinsured.

For those who may not qualify Super Shot's executive director says the Allen County Health Department is another place where children, teens and seniors can get vaccinated.

“When we have terrible flu seasons like this, and we've had a few of them, flu runs rampantly low and parents get very concerned, and we're very, very concerned as well. We are trying to, at least let the parents know that come to us, that might not be eligible, where they might be able to obtain the vaccines from,” said Kelly Zachrich, Executive Director, Super Shot.
