Fort Wayne Keeps An Eye On Local Radiation Levels

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Local monitoring station constantly checking radiation levels for the area.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department removes filters from a monitoring device, twice a week, and ships them to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to have the levels checked.

Officials say all reports have come back normal since the equipment was installed in December of 2009.
